VERY IMPORTANT:
You MUST consult a health care practitioner at the first sign of infection, or an allergic reaction and report any diagnosed infection, allergic reaction, or adverse reaction resulting from the tattoos, to the tattoo artist.

14 Days of Tattoo Aftercare

Day 1

  • Avoid direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks.
  • Avoid Swimming Until all the scabs are healed.
  • Avoid unnecessary submerging your tattoo in water or any liquid.

Day 2

  • Unwrap and clean with an antibacterial soap & clean water.
  • Pat dry and DO NOT apply any lotion today.

Day 3 to 4

  • Keep your tattoo clean and dry.
  • Swelling and redness is still common.
  • Avoid clothing that rubs on the tattooed area.
  • Avoid clothing that will make you sweat in the tattooed area.
  • Begin to apply VERY SMALL amount of lotion.
  • A&D Ointment or Aqueous cream.
  • But ONLY when the skin on and around the tattoo feels “tight”.
  • You want your tattoo dry at all times, not too dry and not moist.
  • You need to pay attention to your skin!

Day 5 to 6

  • Your tattoo will start peeling - This is completely normal.
  • Allow your tattoo to peel in its own time.
  • DO NOT soak, exfoliate or pick at it!
  • Begin to apply VERY SMALL amount of lotion.
  • Use A&D Ointment or Aqueous cream to avoid cracking the tattoo.

Day 7 to 10

  • Your tattoo will finish peeling.
  • Small scabs may form and will fall off.
  • This won’t damage the tattoo if left to fall off naturally.
  • Allow your tattoo to peel in its own time.
  • To ease the itching, apply a very small layer of lotion.
  • A&D Ointment or Aqueous cream.
  • STILL DO NOT soak, exfoliate your tattoo!

Day 11 to 14

  • The remaining scabs will fall off.
  • Your tattoo may remain itchy, tender or dry for several weeks.
  • Apply very small amounts of lotion as needed.
  • A&D Ointment or Aqueous cream.
  • Water activities may resume after the remaining scabs fall off.
